New labor wage code :
Central government is going to implement a new policy on labor wage code in India . It will change some in favour of employee and some against. Firstly it was planned to implement in April 2021 , but due to some obstacles by some states , and industrial unions it was postponed. Now all states are ready and given draft rules to center. Let we know what things will change :
छुट्टियों में होगी बढोत्तरी :
Earn leave of employees will increase from 240 to 300. Many provisions were discussed between the Labor ministry and labor union and representative of industry regarding change the earned leave.
बेसिक सैलरी में आयेगी कमी :
There will be decrement in Take Home Salary . According to wage code act 2019 , the basic salary of an employee can't be less than 50% of the Cost to the Company (CTC) . At present,many companies lowers the basic salary and give more allowance from above to lowers their burden .
● There are 3-4 parts of employees CTC i.e Basic salary, House rent allowance (HRA), Retirement benefits like PF , Gratuity and pension. But according to new wedge code , Total allowance can't be more than 50% of total salary. मतलब अगर किसी की CTC 50000 है तो उसकी बेसिक सैलर 25000 होगी और25000 अलाउंस होंगे।
साप्ताहिक अवकाश बढ़ेंगे :
. According to new wedge Code , total working hour will be 12 hours . According to the information given by ministry of labour and employment, total working hours will be 48 as usual. On working of 8 hour I a day , only one weekoff is given but if working hour increase then week off will also increase on decreasing working days.In all cases employee agreement is must . If any employee is working more than 48 hours , Then over time charges will be given. मतलब पहले 8 घंटे काम करने पर हफ्ते में एक दिन की छट्टी मिलतीथी पर अब 12 घंटे काम करके छुट्टियां बढ़ा दी जाएंगी , पर पूरे हफ्ते के काम का समय पहले की तरह ही 48 घंटे रहेगा।सभी मामलों में कर्मचारी की सहमति जरूरी है। अगर कोई कर्मचारी 48 घंटे से ज्यादा काम कर रहा है तो ओवर टाइम चार्ज दिया जाएगा।
■ These codes are regarding social security , Industrial Relations and occupational safety. New wage code is an attempt towards securing the future of employees in a long run by increasing contribution towards safety and retirement benefits where in the immediate impact is likely to be a reduction in the take home salary.
Government prepared the final draft of code in February 2021 , but due to some reasons it was postponed. In which one reason is that some states are not ready.
Again government was in mood of implementing it on 1st july 2022 but still same problem with some states , result:: yet it is pending. Before implementing any policy, government has to notify before 15 days.
