 Alstom India handovered first RRTS train set to NCRTC









It's very quick that Alstom India handedovers first Indian RRTS train set to NCRTC.

       It's first Indian Semi-high speed regional train set which serve in National Capital Region from Delhi to Meerut. It will be in service in next year 2023 for which it's construction and manufacturing process is in full swing.

       Train runs from Sarain Kale Khan to Meerut via Sahibabad , Ghaziabad , Modinagar. Route is of 82.5 kns , speed of train will be 160 kmph , with average speed of 100kmph , and maximum speed will be 180 kmph. 

      Train is made under the vision "Atmanirbhar Bharat" & "Make in India" initiative. Train is fully indigenous as it is designed in Hyderabad Telangana , manufactured at Savli Gujarat , Signalling engineering from Gurgaon Hariyana.

        30 Regional transit trains , 10 local transit trains to be manufactured. Alstom associated maintenance for 15 years. It's worlds first ETCS Signalling Hybrid Level 2 Technology. Equipped with train control and supervision , Plateform Screen Doors , Telecommunication system, Plant and machinery supply and maintenance at 2 depots .

Train design is inspired by Lotus temple, Delhi.

It will short Delhi Meerut commute time by 40% from 1:30hours to 00:55 hours. Carry daily ridership of 0.8 million passenger. Built to ensure maximum reliability and safety. Carbody bolster pre-assembly. 360 degree rotable manipulators . Underframe finalisation. Floor panne levelling. Made with Robotic spot welding , poka yoke technique , roof finalisation, carbody erection, Cable hardening, plug type flushed doors, Aerodynamic nose cone , Regenerative braking system.

                  Ergonomically built 2×2 transverse seating, comfortable standing space , Auto controlled ambient lighting system, luggage rack , Full Air conditioning, CCTV cameras , Grab handles, Large windows for panoramic view , Dynamic route maps , Laptop and mobile charging port , support for specially able and medical emergencies , ETCS hybrid level 2 signalling ensures unhindered train movement, Reduced waiting time, Enhanced passenger safety.

During the handovering Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs  Manoj Joshi was also present on the occasion. During that Central minister Hardeep Puri was also connected via video conferencing and said that it's first stretch of 17 km will serve next year.
