Numerical Control (NC) machine :: It is the machine or device which is controlled by direct input of data in the form of symbols,numbers,letters or in combination of these. Automatically controlling a machine tool based on a set of pre-programmed machining and movement of instructions is known as Numerical Control. In NC machine, the program is fed in punched tape.NC is essential in modern industrial robotics. NC machine is based on Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) for operation and controlling of machine tools.
